HISTORY, ART, ARCHITECTURE / VITTORIO VENETO
Not only a symbol of history and culture but also of the great value of our soldiers
Resulting from the union of two medieval districts, Ceneda and Serravalle, Vittorio Veneto was, formally, founded in 1866. The main attractions of the first district include Piazza Flaminio, the eighteenth century Cathedral of Ceneda, the Museum of the Battle in the Ceneda Community Building by Sansovino and the San Martino Castle.
Serravalle is, instead, the best preserved historical town centre in the entire Veneto region. The main attractions include: the Minuci-De Carlo Palace in which works of art, tapestries and ancient furniture pieces can be found; the ex Hospital built in the Fourteenth century and the Dome, with the altar piece by Titian. Vittorio Veneto is also a “city of music”. The town hall organizes several musical events on a national level throughout the year.
