NATURALISTIC ITINERARIES / THE OASIS OF CERVARA
In between ditches, marshland and water banks, a piece of history from Treviso
Dominated by the greenery of the humid area consisting of the Sile, the Cervara Oasis represents a concentration of natural and historical aspects difficult to find in similar areas. In the spring the area is characterised by abundant vegetation that fills ditches and water banks. The yellow of the marsh marigolds typical of the swamps or of the water iris can be seen while the buttercups fill the waterbed with their white corollas.
During the same period of the year the numerous water flows are filled with life thanks to the contribution of young animals. The families of mallards, little grebes and little egrets can be easily seen. Furthermore, inside the oasis a visit to the old water factory that still moves its ancient wheels and grinds is worthwhile.
