TREVISO AND THE CITY CENTRE / THE MUSEUMS OF THE CENTRE
Jealous owners of history and of the culture of Treviso
The building of the Civil Museum of Treviso is located on the junction between Via Caccianiga and Borgo Cavour. In reality this institution is a complex of individual units: here, in Borgo Cavour the most flashy area can be found, consisting of an archaeological, a medieval and a contemporary section as well as the picture gallery.
In the Santa Caterina church, the cycle of frescos by Tomaso da Modena related to the histories of St Orsola can be found together with many other interesting works: the Noal House in Via Canova, well known as the “Museum of the Treviso house”, containing the so-called minor art collections. Finally, the Renaissance Museum is located in Viale Cadorna.
